Space for relational research is a collaborative practice founded by Barbara Herschel, Kaspar Jamme, Felix Künkel and Justus Schweer in 2024. The Space aims for a transdisciplinary working method, relating perspectives of architecture, landscape architecture, urban planning, academic teaching, cooperation with civil society actors and public administration.
We see relational research as a way of exploring space as a network of relationships, dynamics and processes. By founding the space for relational research, we are attempting to establish a critical research practice that tracks down connections in space, challenges the boundaries of architecture and proposes new fields of work and cooperation.
